Biography

Takeshi Koike is a Japanese director and animator from Yamagata, Japan born in 1968. He made his directorial début in 2000 with the introduction sequence of Katsuhito Ishii’s PARTY7. Known for his unique characters and bold animation works, he directed THE ANIMATRIX : WORLD RECORD and REDLINE, which garnered critical acclaim. His powerful drawings have captivated animation fans throughout the world. He led, supervised, and directed the animation of the movie series LUPIN THE IIIRD.
