Join this Polygon Pictures' producer as we celebrate 35 years of the cutting-edge studio
Be inspired by creative talents from across the animation industry, from studios Trigger and Polygon to independent artists!
Scotland Loves Animation prides itself on its history of bringing top animation talent to the Edinburgh College of Art for our traditional Education Day, providing a forum for them to talk about their work and careers within the industry to inspire and inform a whole new generation of artists, and for the tenth anniversary of Scotland Loves Anime we've pulled out all of the stops to create one of our finest line-ups yet!
Make sure you book your place at this year's FREE event, where you'll be able to see the following:
Trigger are one of the most popular, fan-favourite studios in Japan, and we're bringing some of the main talent behind their latest hit film, Promare, to Scotland!
Attending to share their diverse experiences in the industry are film director, Hiroyuki Imaishi, character designer Shigeto Koyama and producer Hiromi Wakabayashi.
One of last year's guests, Jack Liang - who heads up Polygon's International Business Development - returns alongside the president and CEO of the ground-breaking CG studio Shuzo Shiota to talk about their industry experiences and share their wealth of knowledge.
In addition, this duo are also bringing a UK premiere screening of Polygon's latest Netflix Original work, Levius, to showcase what the studio and the talents and technology at their disposal are capable of.
Michael Doig (Colourist) and India Swift (Animator) are a duo based in Dublin, Ireland. They have experience in TV animation, music videos, storyboarding, concept & game art, illustration and comics. The duo will be attending to share their experience with working in animation on music videos in particular.
As noted, the event is entirely free, but spaces are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
The event itself will begin promptly at 10:30AM, so make sure you arrive in good time so as not to miss a thing!
The Education Day takes place in the main lecture theatre at the ECA, room E.22 on the building's first floor.
Many thanks to this year's sponsors, Anime Limited and The Skinny, for making the Education Day possible.Book A Spot
