Synopsis: A young prostitute is taken in by a gambler, Shell, who makes her a slave to his vicious whims. Eventually he attempts to kill her, but just as her life is slipping away she finds herself rescued by a private investigator and his unlikely companion. They re-build her broken body as a cyborg with unique physical and psychological powers then work with her to hunt down Shell and his dangerous associates. Mardock Scramble has been described as “a pulse-pounding cyberpunk adventure” that promises to keep audiences on the edges of their seats.
You should see this if… suspense and science fiction excite you. Based on a novel by Tow Ubukata, these are the first two parts of a trilogy that conjure up a chilling universe that is not for the faint of heart.
