Glasgow Film Theatre ticket sales go live!

We’re pleased to announce ticket sales for the first weekend of Scotland Loves Anime at the Glasgow Film Theatre have gone live!  Details are below:

GLASGOW, September 1st 2010 – Ticket sales in Glasgow, at the Glasgow Film Theatre have now gone live as of today for Scotland Loves Anime.  They are available via the GFT’s ticket sales site here:

Then click on “BUY NOW” for the relevant films.

Seasons at GFT ticket deal applies – namely buy any 4 tickets from this season for £22/£18. A further discount of £1 off each ticket is applied for CineCards. Tickets must be purchased in one transaction.

Edinburgh ticket sales at the Filmhouse will be announced via all usual channels as soon as they go live.  We expect this to happen no later than end of next week so stay tuned all folk looking for Edinburgh tickets!

In the meantime grab your chance to meet the men who brought you Trigun both in TV and movie format while tickets last!

Following our announcing the lineup last week we are now pleased to have online the full information pages for each film, each one will be updated as soon as ticket sales go live so you can buy those.

Here at Scotland Loves Animation, we’ve been toiling away on the lineup and guests for this year’s Scotland Loves Anime and I’m pleased to announce we have finished locking it in now!

SCOTLAND LOVES ANIME – A NATIONWIDE CELEBRATION OF JAPANESE ANIMATION!

GLASGOW, UK – August 10, 2010 – We are excited to announce Scotland Loves Anime, taking place from the 8th to 10th of October in Glasgow and the 15th to 17th of October in Edinburgh this year!

Our 2010 lineup consist of: Trigun Badlands Rumble, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, One Piece Strong World, Evangelion 2.0, Summer Wars, Redline, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva and Cowboy Bebop the Movie.

Scotland Loves Anime will be your only chance to see several of the films in this lineup in the UK in 2010 – so be ready to grab your tickets when they go on sale later this month!  We also have some amazing guests from the UK, Japan and the USA over both weekends as well as more yet to announce so stay tuned!

TICKETS?

Tickets for the Glasgow weekend will go on sale on August 19th, Edinburgh’s tickets will go on sale not long after that.  We’ll post a link to where you can buy tickets.  Buying early would be advised in many of the films cases as this will be the last and/or only chance in 2010 to see a lot of the lineup in the UK!

Announcing “Scotland Loves Anime”

We’re pleased to announce our first event will be called “Scotland Loves Anime” and will be over the weekend of the 8th to the 10th of October in Glasgow at the Glasgow Film Theatre and the 15th to 17th of October in Edinburgh at the Filmhouse.

Expect two weekends of all the hottest anime straight from Japan comprised mainly of EU, UK and Scottish premieres with one or two special screenings thrown in for good measure!
