Scotland Loves Animation is arts and education charity, here to promote animation and foster links between students and the animation industry.

Our annual film festival, Scotland Loves Anime, is now in its 7th year and has become renowned as the UK’s top festival for Japanese animation. As part of this we host an annual education day where animation students and graduates can learn from and connect with professionals in the industry.

Scotland Loves Anime is held in Edinburgh and Glasgow, but we partner with other film festivals across Scotland to ensure that the best films travel. Throughout the year we tour films to areas that otherwise wouldn’t be able to see them on the big screen. Previous tours have included Inverness, Dundee, Dumfries and Aberfeldy.

All Scotland Loves Animation events are entirely non-profit: every penny goes back into bringing bigger, better events to you. Below are some neat stats from the 2015 programme for Edinburgh here and Glasgow here for now, we’ll have more events listed soon too…
