Art of Japanese Illustrations comes to Scotland!

Aoji – the Art of Japanese Illustration pays tribute to illustrators inspired by Japanese culture and anime, giving you the chance to discover more than a host of illustrations from a range of Japanese artists at the Filmhouse gallery from the 9th to the 18th of October.

You will find more than than 250 illustrations on our website representing many universes and imaginaries among the work of 29 artists in limited edition, numbered with a certificate of authenticity. The Aoji gallery is an exchange interface in constant evolution with new artists and new illustrations steadily updated.

GALLERY CONCEPT:

Aoji tries to combine Japanese art anddigital impression to promote talented artists worth to be spoken of. Fascinated by Japan, its illustrations and the anime/manga culture, the Aoji Team aims at creating a cultural exchange and offering high quality artworks at affordable prices for everybody.

FROM DIGITAL TO REALITY:

Online gallery, the illustrations exhibited on www.aoji.fr are available for purchase in limited and numbered editions and in 3 different sizes (Medium, Large, X Large). Artworks are printed on three different materials:

- Canvas: Tightened to a wooden frame, the printing on canvas gives an authentic and traditional render.

- Aluminium: The printing on aluminium is a new process which increases the digital characteristic and technologic of the art piece. The illustrations have an Anti-UV mat varnish finish to protect them from UV and enhance brightness and colors.

- Plexiglas: A plexiglas finish of 3mm is applied over aluminium to create more depth and enhance the brightness of the colors and the sharpness of the outline. The plexiglass finish guaranties an exceptional visual result.
